PHILIP H. KALBAN has a diversified litigation background spanning more than thirty-five years. He has tried numerous cases, civil and criminal, in the federal, state, surrogate’s and bankruptcy courts; conducted arbitrations in a variety of jurisdictions; defended broker-dealers in SEC, NYSE, AMEX and NASD disciplinary proceedings; and argued appeals in the federal and state appellate courts. He has represented major banks, insurance companies, real estate companies, estate executors, broker-dealers, manufacturers and retailers. Mr. Kalban’s general commercial litigation practice concentrates in the areas of real estate, securities, decedent’s estates, business dissolution, bankruptcy, trademark and licensing. Clients frequently call on Mr. Kalban for his strong negotiating skills as well as for his litigation strategy expertise. Mr. Kalban earned his law degree from Columbia University in 1971 and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio State University in 1968. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Courts of Appeal for the Second, Third, Eighth and Ninth Circuits.
