SCHNEIDER is admitted to practice in New York and Florida. For over forty years he has practiced in the fields of trusts and estates for individuals, and employee benefits and succession planning for closely held business entities. He has lectured for various professional and non-profit groups. He is a member of the Sections on Taxation, Trusts and Estates, Elder Law and Employee Benefits of the NYS Bar Association; the Section on Real Property and Probate Law of the American Bar Association and is currently Co-Chair of the Section on Estates, Trusts and Surrogates Court Practice of New York County Lawyers Association, as well as the former chair of that Sections Committee on Continuing Legal Education; and he is a member of the Association of the Bar of The City of New York and serves on its Committee on Estate and Gift Taxation. PARKER NEAVE is a partner in the firm's Trusts and Estates and Corporate departments. Mr. Neave advises individual clients on all aspects of estate planning and related estate tax issues. He prepares wills and various types of testamentary and lifetime trusts (including generation-skipping, life insurance, marital, education and charitable trusts). He advises individual and corporate executors regarding all aspects of probate and estate administration such as transfer of real property, partnership interests, securities and preparation of any related estate tax returns. He advises individual and corporate trustees in all aspects of trust administration from trust funding through final distribution and termination. Mr. Neave also advises clients on all aspects of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law. He regularly forms and obtains federal and local tax exempt status for Charities and Private Foundations and assists clients in the daily operations of these entities. He also advises charitable entities in their planned giving programs. Mr. Neave became admitted to the California Bar in 1992 and in 1993 became admitted to the Bars in New York and Connecticut. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Hobart College in Geneva, New York and his law degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. GROPPE for forty-two years has concentrated his practice in the area of estates and trusts, including estate planning; tax planning; drafting of wills, trusts and related documents; business succession planning; administration, settlement and distribution of estates and trusts including accounting matters; Surrogate's Court practice including litigation in contested matters. Mr. Groppe currently advises numerous individuals including estate and trust beneficiaries as well as executors and trustees, both individual and corporate, as to their rights and obligations. He has written extensively on professional subjects. He is lead editor of Harris, New York Estates: Probate, Administration and Litigation, Fifth Edition, published by West Group, a leading estate practice text for New York State practitioners. He was an adjunct Professor at Pace Law School from 1989 - 1994, teaching Federal Estate and Gift Taxation. He has lectured before professional and lay audiences on estate and trust related subject, including frequent continuing education presentations to New York Bankers Association schools, New York State Bar Association programs and Practising Law Institute. Mr. Groppe is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association (Trust & Estate Law Section of which he has chaired several substantive law committees). He specializes in large and complex estate and trust administration as well as advising publicly supported charities and private foundations. Along with our partner, Charles J. Groppe, he is co-author of Checklists for the Examination of Accountings of Executors and Trustees. TRAPP, JR. has practiced since 1956 in the areas of trusts and estates, estate planning and general corporate law, including extensive work with charitable, not-for-profit, corporations. He has served on the boards of numerous organizations. Mr. Trapp received his law degree from Columbia University School of Law in 1956 and his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 1951. From July 1951 to July 1953 he served in the United States Air Force, separating with the rank of First Lieutenant. Mr. Trapp has experience in local government having served for nine years as Village Justice, for ten years as Trustee, Fire Commissioner and Deputy Mayor of his village and for many years as a member and then Chief of his village volunteer fire department. HARR is an associate in the firm’s Trusts and Estates and Corporate departments. Ms. Harr specializes in trusts and estates, tax (international, personal, estate and corporate), corporate law, international law and real estate. In the trusts and estate arena, Ms. Harr advises both U.S. and foreign clients. She concentrates her practice on asset protection (offshore trusts), drafting Wills (pour over, mirror image w/ QTIP, QDOT, disclaimer), and Trusts (insurance, QPRIT, Special needs, defective grantor, children, revocable, spendthrift), the creation of charitable foundations, and administration (probate, 706 & 709 preparation). In the corporate arena, Ms. Harr drafts general & limited partnerships, single member LLCs, buy-sell, and shareholder agreements and advises clients on related tax issues. In the international arena, Ms. Harr advises individual and corporate clients on cross-border transactions both inbound and outbound. Ms. Harr is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Studies from Muhlenberg College (magna cum laude) in 1995. She received her law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1998.
